Turvey Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located in Turvey. It is part of the Rogerstown Estuary Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The reserve has two bird hides. It consists of wildflower areas, wetlands, parklands and woodlands. The area was previously used a grazing pasture but is now in the process of being restored to saltmarsh.
The brackish grasslands and inter-tidal creeks are popular for wildfowl and waders during the winter, as well as the exposed mudflat areas during periods of low tides. In winter, birds include golden plovers, grey plovers, lapwings, curlews, black-tailed godwits, dunlins, red knots, sanderlings, redshanks, oystercatchers, herons, geese and ducks. In summer, birds include willow warblers, chiffchaffs, and blackcaps.
